In this edition, we cover how to self-manage ATW rules in R&R. You'll also learn about updates and new features within R&R and the Job App such as dark-mode and the new "see who you're working with" feature. Finally, we go even more international and inform you about all the new languages added to the Job App.
The Working Hours Act (ATW) is an important part of scheduling with R&R. During scheduling, violations of the ATW become immediately visible. If an employee is assigned too long a shift or if an employee is given too few days of rest, a notification is immediately displayed.
In February's Product Update, there was extensive discussion about the comfort of ATW rules in R&R. As of today, it is possible to manage these rules yourself in R&R.
You can choose your own configuration of these rules for a store to maximize rostering. Do you have more than one store? No problem, these configurations can all be set at once.
As indicated earlier, we have added an exception rule for 15-year-old temporary workers. In addition, two additional ATW rules have been added. These two new rules are warning by default. Do you want these new rules to be blocking in the roster? Then adjust this via the configuration screen.
A menu option has been added via the settings in the menu bar: 'Configuration'. Here you can choose your own configurations for different parts of the application. This allows you to decide what is important to you. The screen below shows a deviation set up for the three selected stores. For these three stores it can be seen that the WAB rules are blocking in the roster, but a warning is only given in the roster when there is a WAB violation for a 15-year-old employee. Below you can also immediately see that the default configuration for the group of stores is set with only warning notifications in the roster.
The permissions to access this control panel have been granted limited until now. Do you not have permissions to this screen now? If so, these rights can still be granted as needed.
Last period there was a focus on the R&R Job App. In the latest version of the R&R Job App, it is possible to choose between light and dark mode as a user. Next, it has also been ensured that clock actions can be seen in the app while the store uses physical clocks. The final functionality we will be delivering this quarter is the ability to see who you are working with in the app.
Every employee now has the ability to set the R&R Job App to a dark mode. This allows you to view the roster at night before going to sleep, without the bright light keeping you awake.
In addition to R&R offering "Clocks in the app," it is now possible to see clock times while having a physical clock hanging in the store. With this, clock actions can be quickly seen by the user in the app, thus offering more transparency.
A much requested functionality has been turned into reality. We are currently in development to ensure that you can see who you are working with during your shift. All colleagues working with you at the same time will be visible in the app.
The advantage of this is that if you need a replacement, you can immediately see who already has to work at that time. Also, if you have a morning shift, you know immediately which colleague has to open with. So with this you won't have any surprises.
This functionality is on for everyone. Don't want this to be shown for employees in your store? Then there is a possibility to turn it off for your employees. Through a configuration screen, as described in the previous topic, you will be able to disable this functionality in the R&R Job App. We will release these settings in time for your preferences to be taken into account when the functionality goes live.
Starting this week, in R&R Insights you can not only view data for entire weeks or single days, but you can bring up any period you want at once. Curious about productivity over the past three days? Or perhaps the past three months? No problem, with a simple date selection you can decide for which period the data will be retrieved.
For several weeks now, the KPIs in R&R's dashboard have been fed by R&R Insights, regardless of whether you take Insights. This not only makes it easier for us to maintain, but also comes with a big advantage for Insights users: you can now customize the KPIs yourself.
Based on a shared view you created in Insights, you can now define your own new KPIs to be shown in the dashboard. If you wish, you can set this up separately for each of your locations, or the same for all of them.
Observant users may have already seen it, but in addition to being able to view your productive hours compacted over the current week, it is now also possible to view your productive payroll costs compacted over the week. Wondering how that compaction works? Read the original announcement from January of this year here.
That R&R is available in multiple languages should come as no surprise. You've been able to switch between different languages in the browser for years, and the Job App also adapts to your phone's language whenever possible. And from now on, we'll do so in a few additional languages.
The R&R Job App already automatically switches between Dutch, English, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Polish and Ukrainian! Should your phone be on a language not listed here, the R&R Job App will automatically fall back to English.
In the coming weeks, the R&R application in the browser will also support these eight languages. You will not notice this as an existing user, but you can change the language in the lower left corner of the menu if you wish.
By offering the content in a language that best suits the users, we try to remove barriers. By doing so, we make R&R accessible to a larger group of users. In addition, we increase usability because it is easier to find what you are looking for.
