Periodically we publish an update on interesting developments and improvements to our WFM system R&R. This edition focuses on our updated navigation.
With prices changing daily, increasing costs and unpredictable buying behavior, daily sales may well turn out differently than predicted three weeks earlier when running the forecast.
Therefore, the budgets resulting from those forecasts (forecast) are not always a good means of determining whether the actual hours and labor costs realized are within the norm. For that reason, R&R calculates the norm based on actual sales and makes it available in R&R Insights. R&R Insights is an additional module on top of the standard R&R license.
This has already been done at the weekly level since last summer, but as of today (Feb. 2, 2023) we also do this at the daily level. So this provides real-time information with which you can make quick adjustments if the situation calls for it. In this way you have a grip on the hours and labor costs during the week and can still exert influence where necessary.
For week 5 (of 2023)* and beyond, norm hours and norm wage costs at daily level are now available in R&R Insights. These are updated daily as soon as the current turnover is delivered via the cash register link (POS).
Do you have a license to view R&R Insights by department? If so, the standards are also available by department.
*) No data is shown for earlier weeks with the notification that this feature is only available from week 5. There are currently no plans to retroactively calculate standards.
