R&R Product update – Non-standard holidays

We have a new feature:Alternative holidays. This allows you to swap official holidays for alternative holidays at the employee level.

What is it?

Alternative public holidays are alternative holidays that an employee can choose instead of the standard public holidays specified in R&R. For example, an employee can exchange Easter Monday, which he/she does not celebrate, for Keti Koti, a day that is celebrated by the employee. For this employee, any public holiday bonus hours and paid public holiday hours will not accrue on Easter Monday, but on Keti Koti (July 1, 2026).

When do you use this?

Sometimes an employee wants to celebrate a different holiday than the standard holiday. In that case, you exchange the official holiday for an alternative.

Here's how to do it (in brief)

Only R&R users with the 'Application Management' role have the option to enable this functionality. You can do this for the entire license group or for individual stores within your license group.

1. Enable the feature
Go toControl Panel > HRand enableAdd non-standard holidays to.
You can then enable additional options (optional):

2. Adjust public holidays per employee
Go to the employee card and swap the official public holidays for alternative public holidays.
