R&R Job App | Product update 24-09-24

25-10-24

In this edition: More insight into leave | Leave in the hours worked overview | Shift activity on the home screen & a bug fix

From Wednesday, Oct. 2: more insight into leave

An employee is already able to see their leave balances in the R&R job app. All leave entries are aggregated and displayed by leave type for the entire year. Starting next week, more information will be available on this leave screen.

As announced in the last newsletter, we are keeping the unified view where you can see all your current leave balances, but are adding here the ability to see the individual mutations from the past pay period. This way the employee can quickly check if the salary slip is correct.

The employee's expected leave balance has been moved to the requests, so that it is immediately visible while requesting a new leave how much balance the employee has left. In addition, the comment filled in with the request is added, so it is quickly visible which leave requests have already been made.

The leave in the hours worked statement

In addition to changing the leave overview, additional information about leave is shown with the hours worked. Throughout the week, you can see on a daily basis whether leave has been taken from compensation hours, for example. In addition, at the bottom there is a summary, this way it is possible to see at a glance what the changes were in the leave for that week.

By default, this functionality is not on in the R&R job app. Would you like this information to be shown for the employee? No problem! Through the configuration page, this functionality can be turned on for the employees in one click.

Home screen shows activity of your next service

The home screen of the R&R job app shows the employee's next shift. Since training or education is also listed as a "shift" in the schedule, these are also shown there. To avoid confusion for the employee, the activity on which the employee is scheduled will now also be shown if it differs from the standard productive activity. As a result, the employee immediately knows what is expected.

Bugfix: Hours worked

Unfortunately, in recent weeks it was found that in some cases the hours worked shown in the R&R job app incorrectly counted the WAB "Not worked, not paid" hours toward the hours worked. These are hours where the employee was originally scheduled, but where the shift was cancelled by mutual agreement. This issue has since been found and resolved. The incorrectly displayed hours for the past few weeks will be automatically updated in the first half of this week so that these employees can also see the actual number of hours worked.
