Twice a month we publish an update on interesting developments and improvements to our WFM system R&R.
This edition focuses on such topics as importing an HR file, Sunday surcharges for 2023, settlement streams, department-level R&R Insights, user management and bug fixes and quality-of-life improvements.
Import HR file into R&R
It has recently become possible to read an HR file into R&R. The import ensures that - if an automatic HR link is not used - employee data does not have to be entered completely manually. Data not available in the file, but necessary for R&R, can be added manually.
If you want to know if you can start taking advantage of this, let us know at aftersales@rr-wfm.com and we will get back to you.
Sunday surcharges 2023 (and 2024)
As for 2022, the Sunday surcharge percentage in 2023 depends on the surcharge hours granted for 2021. For stores that started using R&R last year, a lower starting value is often used to account for the period before R&R was used.
From our After Sales department, the stores/formulas to which this applies will be contacted to request the correct percentage for 2023 and 2024 and put into R&R.
New in R&R: settlement flows
Much has changed in the supermarket scene in recent years, especially in terms of technology and customer experience. Examples include self-scanning, online grocery ordering and pickup, and in-store delivery. Incredibly convenient additions for the customer, but it also places different demands on staff deployment.
To better align scheduling budgets with this need, R&R introduces "checkout streams. By providing checkout data across different checkout streams, it is possible to distinguish between the different checkout points that exist in a store and determine the corresponding budget for them.
Currently, using the new checkout flows for budgets is only possible when using our latest Point Of Sale link (POS3).
If you want to know if you can start taking advantage of this, let us know at aftersales@rr-wfm.com and we will get back to you.
R&R Insights: department-level steering information and payout insights
This week we are releasing R&R Insights at the department level. This gives you insight into the most relevant steering information for each department. Which department deviated the most from budget? You'll soon see it with a single mouse click.
The "realization" in R&R Insights is often compared to payout data from other R&R reports. This is not always conclusive, as there may still have been changes in the payout. Starting next week, Insights will offer insight into the payout in addition to the realization. And because you can choose your own column structure in Insights, you can immediately compare the realization and payment. Ideal!
With two valuable releases on the horizon, we could call it a day for this year, but of course we are ambitious and eager to continue. Right now we are working hard on the ability to save your column and filter selections in R&R Insights, so you can easily switch between different views. And because no one likes duplicate work, you can also choose to share these views with your organization. We aim to complete this feature around the turn of the year.
Preparing for user management
Recently we have been busy preparing for user management. Not for ourselves, but for you! Early next year we will make user management available in phases. This means that you will be able to create new users for your store(s) and, for example, remove employees who leave your employment. In addition, with the new screens, adjusting access rights will be easier than ever. Below is an impression of the user overview:

Bug fixes and quality-of-life improvements
In the past weeks our teams have been busy fixing bugs and making (small) quality-of-life improvements. These changes are all aimed at making the daily interaction with R&R even smoother. We have implemented the following changes, among others:
The finance link did not show all labor costs; this has been fixed.
The annual leave entitlement for German customers was not properly implemented when adjusted in December. This has been remedied so the leave entitlements will come through properly next year.
Furnishing the granted Sunday allowance from 2021 was not possible for employees who were only put into R&R this year, regardless of a previous hire. This has been resolved.
The link with Loket.nl has been modified so that it retrieves changes on employees more efficiently than before. This makes the link faster and more pleasant to use, for both Loket.nl and R&R.
In exceptional situations, leave requests were not showing when changing standard departments. This has been resolved.
The month-level export reporting (ER23) was not using the established data for the entire month in all cases. This has been resolved.
The sorting of employees on the clock time report was not working correctly for each clock system. This has been equalized across all systems.
Several minor fixes and optimizations have been made to the new navigation structure.
From now on, the name of the current store will appear in the upper right-hand corner of the screen for store-level screens.
