Last month during the schedule development update we covered open shifts and a new printable daily schedule. Since then we have not been idle, the features below are now also available.
In the schedule, night shifts can be entered as a whole, then cut up over the two actual days. If you enter shifts from 22:00 to 06:00, they will look like this in the roster:

From now on, you can specify in the schedule display options that night shifts should be shown as a single shift.

In that case, the end time is shown on the day the shift starts, with a +1 icon to indicate that this is a time on the next day. Especially when people work multiple night shifts in a row, this makes the schedule more manageable.

The last day in this example refers to a Sunday. Unfortunately, this functionality is not available for the transition from Sunday to Monday, as the view only shows the selected week.
Via the new selection option "Additional columns" additional reference columns can be shown in the schedule. This makes it even easier to make the right choices during scheduling. You decide which information is relevant to see.
One can choose from the total leave balance, the FPU* and the employee's age. In addition, you can also choose from the individual leave types that are available to the employees in the roster. The exact list may vary from roster to roster depending on the composition of the staff in that roster.

*) KPU is selectable only if the user is allowed to see KPUs.
Among the options is now also the option to show the "Unscheduled Employees". This is not new, but the reverse is: by turning off this option you can hide all unscheduled employees!
This gives you immediate insight into who is scheduled and gives you a good overview of the staffing in the department.
This feature will soon be followed up with an ability to see the entire store at once, giving you an overall view of the occupation.

To make options easier to recognize, we have also provided them with icons to make it quicker to see which option you are looking for.
