R&R product update December 7, 2023

This edition focuses on captcha, availabilities and a look ahead to 2024.

Login procedure tightened: Action required

R&R's security mechanism has recently been further enhanced with a CAPTCHA. To enable this, traffic is required to https://challenges.cloudflare.com.

If your organization uses website whitelisting, this URL must be added. Your IT vendor can support you with this.
Please note that this change is not applicable if you use Single Sign On in combination with R&R.

Additional information about CAPTCHA

A CAPTCHA mechanism ensures that a check is made that the login process is performed exclusively by a person and not by an automated process. This check is performed in the background with every login attempt. Under normal circumstances, this check will not be visible.

If this check fails, you will need to manually check a box before you can log in. This is shown below.

If the above information is not sufficient or unclear to you, please contact our service desk.

First steps for new availabilities

The first steps have been taken and there is much more to come. For those who have been paying close attention have already seen a small change. In R&R it was first possible to make a change in the availability screen itself. Now this can only be done through a side panel. Clicking on an employee brings up a side panel. Here the times can be changed in the same way as before.
This preparation is necessary to make it possible to make changes to the availability on a weekly basis. And the preparation on a weekly basis is needed to start approving availabilities. All in all, plenty of prospects for this feature!

Looking ahead to Q1 - 2024

Christmas is fast approaching and that means 2024 is almost upon us. Like last year, we want to look ahead to the topics we'll be working on in the near future. Below are the major items from R&R's roadmap for the first quarter of 2024. We have divided these items into three main categories, namely User convenience, R&R job app and Steering with data. Where with User Convenience we provide support in the daily use of R&R, with the R&R job app we focus on the interaction with the employee and with Steering with data we provide more steering tools and control over the process. Each of the points in the image below are explained below. Of course, a detailed description will follow when development of these points begins.

Availabilities

Hard work is underway to release approving availability in Q4 of 2023. It won't stop there, however. Once approvals are in place we will continue to work on the ease of use of this feature. Among other things, we will do this by better facilitating the dialogue between the employer and employee when the availabilities cannot be approved immediately.

Daily schedule

We aim to release a new view of the daily roster by the end of Q1. With this we want to make it easier to give insight into who, when is present and it will be clear at a glance what the occupancy is at any time of the day.

Geofencing

Clocking in and out via the job app provides flexibility, but sometimes you need just a little less flexibility. With Geofencing, we make it possible to capture the physical location of your store/branch/gas station and the R&R job app will only allow you to clock in if you are within the set distance of that location. Use of this feature is optional and determined per location.

Better insight into hours worked in the R&R job app

Currently, after the payout is determined, employees can see how much out they are getting paid in the job app. However, they have no insight into the hours they have actually worked, and can only see the hours to be paid out after the end of the week.To give the employee more insight into his own work and to realize a higher level of commitment, we are going to make it possible to give your employees insight into their realized hours during the week. As a result, the employee immediately knows where he/she stands and can also report any deviations immediately.
For the German market, we will also make this result in the so-called Arbeitszeitnachweis, where the employee receives a total overview of what he/she has worked at the end of the period.

Insights on the dashboard

Through R&R Insights, over the past two years, we have a lot of steering data insight, but always in a separate screen. You have to go to R&R Insights to get this data. To make steering on this data even easier, we are going to make it possible to determine which KPIs you want to display in the R&R dashboard, based on the steering data you have available in R&R Insights. This way you can make sure that everyone has the right insights available when they start their planning or realization work.

Flexibility in blocking ATW rules in the schedule

Within R&R, there is the possibility of blocking the verification of ATW rules in the roster. If this is chosen, it is not possible to schedule a shift that would lead to a violation of the ATW. Because there are a few exceptions to the ATW, it is not always desirable to make all rules blockable, and it may be convenient for specific rules to only show a warning. Therefore, we will make it possible to determine per rule whether or not it should be blocking in the schedule. Since we are currently working on the ATW, we will also make the rules for those subject to compulsory education clearer. Among other things, we will give a warning (never a blocking) when there is no school roster in R&R, so the ATW will have to be checked manually for the employee.
