R&R product update 3 June 2022

Supermarket

Twice a month we publish an update on interesting developments and improvements in our WFM system R&R. In this edition, attention is paid to leave overviews, additional security measures, minimum screen resolution, DATEV payroll export, timetabled hours and labour costs in R&R Insights and bug fixes and quality improvements.

Bug fixes and quality-of-life improvements

In the past weeks our teams have been busy fixing bugs and making (small) quality-of-life improvements. These changes are all aimed at making the daily interaction with R&R even smoother. We have implemented the following changes, among others:

Leave overview

This additional function was already announced in the previous newsletter. It is now available on the environment. The new leave overview is immediately shown when opening the absence overview. The complete overview including sickness absence can be found on the second tab.

DATEV payroll export

The DATEV export was developed for the German market. It enables the user to export payout data in a format supported by DATEV. We already announced this export in the previous newsletter. Meanwhile the export is live and ready for use.

Additional security measures within R&R

Security is an ongoing theme within R&R WFM. For this reason, we have recently started to implement additional security measures for R&R. These measures also have consequences for you as a user. Below we briefly explain what is under development and what this means for you:

Use of a unique e-mail address

From the third quarter of 2022, it will be necessary to use a unique e-mail address. This email address will be used to notify you when your password expires. For many users this is already the case, however, some users still use an email address that does not actually exist. This will soon no longer be possible. An e-mail address can only be used for one account.

Multi Factor Authentication

With Multi Factor Authentication (MFA), a user must use a smartphone in addition to a username and password to access R&R. This ensures that only you can log in with your login details. At the moment the development is in full swing. MFA will be rolled out in phases over the next quarter.

NB: These changes do not apply if you log in with Single Sign On. If you are not sure whether they apply to you, please contact the Service Desk.

Minimum screen resolution

In R&R, large departments are often used where it is desirable to display a lot of data on the screen. In this way, the user has all the information at hand to create the best possible schedule or to assess the payment. For this reason, many users ask us to show more and more information on the screen. It is not possible to meet this demand if we also have to provide support for the use of low-resolution computer screens. For this reason, we have recently increased the minimum screen resolution to better suit the demand and allow us to display more information on the screen.

If you are using a resolution that is too small, a message will be displayed at the bottom of the screen and you may see a scroll bar. This message can be clicked away so as not to be unnecessarily obstructive.

Scheduled hours and labour costs in R&R Insights

Last period we worked hard to connect R&R Insights to the roster module. In the course of next week we will display the rostered hours and the corresponding wage costs from both the fixed and the current roster. In the course of the summer various other data from both the roster and other parts of R&R will be made available in R&R Insights. This will be communicated in more detail in the next newsletter.
